I've always felt like these kinds of items could easily have been included with a product, but market gouging takes advantage of the need for them. Especially the power supply. I could have matched and bought generic a lot cheaper but when I have a brand new product like the H5 I want to be sure to be in the right with everything should I have a warranty need. That said...it all works like it's supposed to. A dead cat is a dead cat. A power supply is a power supply. The remote? (which is what I purchased this for mostly as a performing musician needing fast access to start/stop/record etc...it does the job. Only thing with the remote...the connecting wire is very, very thin and flimsy. An accidental pulling away from the H5 could easily snap the cord in two. My positioning doesn't worry me so much, but if I were using out in the field this would be a concern. There is another working remote for the H5 here on B&H that appears to have a bit more solid and thicker connecting cord. And it's only 24.95. I figured I could use the power supply so went ahead with this purchase. But again....remote? I get it.....but the power supply....come on Zoom....include it with the unit.

I am a Pro and I was shooting a sales video and was having short battery life problems with my H5 when recording talent reading the script copy. With the AC adpater that comes with the kit, which gives me constant power to the H5, solved the problem. Can't wait to try the Dead cat and the remote is a nice tool to have when you need it.
Hey all, I bought this pack recently with my new Zoom H5, which is sensational. The reason was a little because of the remote but the main reason was because of the power pack. In my naivety, I assumed that they would put a power pack for Australia (220-240v) in the kit given that all my account details clearly show I am Down Under. I know that they are made and available. This is not the case so just a quick heads up to buyers. Once you get the recorder you will be totally amazed at the quality and flexibility of this unit. Mike
This accessory pack comes with the wired remote, Ac adapter cable, and mic, wind suppressors.
Must have the fuzzy windscreen! The remote allows adjustment without 'handling' noise by toughing the case when recording. The AC adapter is great when power is available!
I've given this a three star rating simply because I feel Zoom should include the power adapter with their recorders. I have a Zoom H5 with a mic that requires phantom power from it that will eventually cost you - a lot - in batteries without it. So, I had to buy this accessory pack just to get it. Haven't used anything else in it yet. It won't take long to pay for itself by what I save not having to buy and replace batteries in the H5 all the time though.
A nice compliment to the basic package for the H5. Not sure if the fuzz ball is needed since the basic package comes with one, but still it is worth it.
