Lenspen NDSLRK-1C Overview

  • 1Description

The DSLR Pro Kit with microfiber pouch from Lenspen contains everything needed to keep your camera lenses, viewfinders and filters clean: an original LensPen for your DSLR lenses, FilterKlear for lens filters and the smaller MicroPro, designed specifically for viewfinders and tight corners that are harder to reach and clear of dust.

This kit has been designed to clean all your camera's glass surfaces in the most effective and safest manner possible. No harsh solvents or abrasives are employed. The invisible carbon used on these pens' cleaning heads absorbs fingerprint oil and smudges without abrading any of your delicate surfaces. The cap of each pen holds a pad containing the invisible carbon so that the cleaning tip is recharged each time the cap is replaced. It contains enough of the extremely fine carbon for at least 500 cleanings. Each pen also has a retractable soft brush inside to help in clearing larger particles.

As a bonus this kit will substantially reduce the static charge common on lenses when they are being cleaned which is important, as electrostatic charge attracts more dust and causes it to adhere to glass surfaces. This kit comes in a handy microfiber carrying pouch which doubles as a cleaning cloth for dislodging dust and larger particles.

    Lenspen NDSLRK-1C Reviews

DSLR Pro Kit is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Produces smudges: what am I doing wrong? Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Product seems to produce smudges in a circular pattern no matter if I'm trying to clean my filter, lens, or view finder. Tried to capture it in the picture but it looks like dust in the picture but is actual smudges on the filter. Noticed first on the lens then the viewfinder. Tried replacing the cap and trying it a few times more but still smudged. Cleaned lenses after with microfiber cloth & cleaning solution and looked great. So many good reviews for these pens, I figure it has to be something I'm doing wrong, but can't figure it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lens cleaning; compact and easy As I'm sure many budding photographers have done, I began purchasing accessories for my new Canon (with kit lenses - a bundle) almost immediately after I received it. Price was the primary consideration; so filters, pseudo macro and wide angle lens attachments, cleaning kits (that seemed a good idea and at a cheap price) started arriving in the mail... and quickly proved you get what you pay for. This cleaning kit works well and exactly as advertised. I would recommend that you purchase this set regardless of how many micro-fiber cloths and blower dusting brushes you've received as bonuses or extras with other purchases!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I use these to clean filters and front elements. I would not use this on sensitive places like sensors or rear elements. It can be a bit dry so be gentle and make sure to brush away the left over residue and make sure you blow and brush away debri before actually rubbing this on to your glass

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lenspen is a must have item , in your bag The three sizes will cover 90% of your lens cleaning needs. When used with a micro-fiber cloth and air brush you will have a complete cleaning kit. I have found the Lenspen to be just the item needed for body oil spots on your lens and filters. They will sometimes leave behind a trace micro powder which can be brushed off with ease. When used as directed they do a very nice cleaning, but at times you will need a mild solvent or water for hard to clean spots. I like to clean at the first sign of a spot before it drys hard and I get around 400 cleanings per pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong with a lenspen! Lens pens are great! Easy and fast way of cleaning on the go. This set is great, especially the one for the view finder, those micro cloths can't get in as well as the pad on the lenspen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spotless lenses every time! These sense cleaners work remarkably well. Not only do they leave my lenses spotless they removed spots I thought would never come off. I have an old Canon AE-1 that had been neglected for years and the lenses and mirror had lots of little spots on them. After using the lens pen they were very clean and the brushes even picked up the dust when brushing them off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had this sooner Bought a pack of these after using my friend's lenspen, which instantly convinced me. My microfiber cloths and wet wipes always leave some smears or lint or something on the lens, even with blowing it off, but these pens always make them look as clean as they were out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as advertised I have a rangefinder type camera and always end up putting a big smudge on the viewfinder window. The Lens Pen does a bang-up job making short work of these smudges. I was impressed enough by the single one I bought originally, I bought another set for my DSLR bag.

May I know what's the difference between the three items here? Just the cleaning head size? But the FilterKlear Filter vs Lens Cleaner are having the same cleaning head size. Thank you.
    Asked by: Anonymous
The difference between the three Lenspen products in this kit is not necessarily the size of the cleaning tip, but rather the differences are the intended uses for each of them. There is a normal Lenspen, which is made for DSLR lenses, a FilterKlear pen for cleaning filters, and then there is a MicroPro pen, which is designed for viewfinders and tight corners.

what is the major difference of this pro kit to the professional kit (twice the price) the package both say invisible carbon? why the price differnce on pro kit vs professional?
    Asked by: Trudie B.
The formula has been greatly enhanced with carbon on the professional kit. The replenishment caps have been redesigned for longer life as well.

When I use the cleaning tip, it seems to drop little piece (the material on the tip) as it touches the lens surface, is this normal?
    Asked by: Anonymous
This does happen with lens pens and is normal. Sometimes the bristles will get caught and stuck between surfaces of the lens or filter and get pulled out of the brush. Other cleaning options like a reusable cleaning cloth or disposable lens tissue would not have this issue.

Is the pen for use on filters safe to use on polarized filters?
    Asked by: Skip G.
I can't say whether or not it can be used on a polarizer, but there is nothing in the literature accompanying this item that suggests that it should not be used on a polarizer.

Why is it that rubbing the lens with the lens pen pad will not cause cleaning marks on the multi coatings on a filter or a lens?
    Asked by: Greg
No it does not. The original nikon brand of lens pen is actually better. Either way, unlink cleaning cloths that use solutions, the lens pens don't.

can i use this to clean the back of the glass? if there has been contact/smudge on the inside of the lens?
    Asked by: Dianne R.
Hi Dianne. If you're referring to the glass on the side of the lens where it attaches to the body of the camera, then yes, that should not be a problem. From my experience, these lens pens work very well. The smallest one will even clean the viewfinder glass. Buy with confidence. Have a great weekend.
