iOptron SkyGuider Equatorial Mount (Head Only)
Key Features
  • Single-Axis Tracking EQ Mount
  • 18.7lb Max Payload Capacity
  • Designed for Wide-Field Astrophotography
  • Lunar, Solar, 0.5x, 1x Tracking Speeds
Designed as an entry-level astrophotography mount, the SkyGuider Equatorial Mount from iOptron provides the beginner imager with a mount that, when properly aligned with the pole star, will accurately track celestial objects for long-exposure imaging techniques. The DC servo motors track across the right ascension to compensate for the Earth's rotation with four selectable speeds. Because the Moon appears to move faster than the Sun, which appears to move faster than planets or deep sky objects, you can choose from Lunar, Solar, 0.5x, and 1x speeds so the mount can track whatever your subject is. A 3/8"‐16 mounting screw accepts saddles for telescope OTAs, or ball heads for cameras. With the counterweight shaft removed, the mount can be configured as a dual-mount. An AccuAligning illuminated polar scope is included to precisely align the mount for optimum tracking accuracy, and a built-in ST-4 autoguiding port accepts compatible equipment for even more accurate tracking over extended periods.
