  • 1Description

The red Compact Action Aluminum Tripod from Manfrotto is a five-section camera support that can hold up to 3.3 lb. It extends from 17.3" to 61" and weighs 2.6 lb.

The grip head on the tripod has a knob that allows you to select between a photo and video function. When using the video function, the head will keep your camera level on the horizontal plane so that you can achieve smooth pans. When the knob is switched to the photo function your camera will be able to move freely on all axes for maximum control. A carrying bag is included to protect the tripod during transport.

The included quick-release plate attaches to most cameras via a 1/4"-20 tripod mount.
The ergonomic grip has a scroll-wheel locking mechanism that locks and unlocks the movement of the head.

Compact Action Aluminum Tripod (Red) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy! Brilliant design I received this product in a good packaged condition. The product itself is really easy to assemble.. the only thing i would have loved is a leveler.. This would have made the product the best. i own other manfrotto tripods (Manfrotto MT055CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber) as well, however this little guy is the best.... i absolutely love this.. I tried this with Nikon D90 with the 35mm lens mounted, both put together 32.585 and the tripod holds really good and looks sturdy.. The padded bag that comes along with the product makes it much easier to carry the tripod around... I intend to try this with the 105 mm and then 300mm, hope full this holds...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great compact tripod This isn't a high-end tripod, however it is way nicer than a lot of the other tripods in its price range and cheaper. The pistol grip with thumb adjustment takes a little getting used to, but it is a very quick and easy way to reposition your camera. I also really like the quick adjustment on the head that allows you to go into a video mode where it smoothly pans on the same plane if you need it to. All of the adjustments seem to be quality, and it's a great little tripod in a light-weight, compact version. The ONLY thing I wish this had was a little bubble level somewhere on the head. But it's still nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I am a novice photographer so this is so perfect for me. Usage is easy to learn, it is sturdy and lightweight. Good for travelers, so far I have tested it with a bit of wind and seemed to hold pretty good, unless of course there is a storm or tornado then that would be a different story or a very strong wind blast. So far, I am loving it and very happy with it. I would recommend this to people who are beginners who does not want to spend too much money and break the piggy bank, it does the job perfectly especially if you have a compact camera like mine alpha 6000.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it. I give it a 5 star but keep in mind it is great for a travel tripod. It fits nicely in my carry-on luggage and is light weight. Although, I prefer a heavier tripod when not traveling, this one is sturdy compared to several wimpy travel tripods I sent back, and superior over any mono-pod. Unless you are anchoring a mono-pod, you will see the result of your heart-beat in the hanging camera strap - not good. With this travel tripod and a little care, it is still, especially if you use a timer. Inside you must be careful about movement and other people's movement, which may cause vibrations easier than with a more sturdy tripod.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light, strong, and reasonably priced, but not so stable. I got this tripod primarily to use with a mirrorless system camera. I wanted something compact and lightweight but strong enough to support about 3 pounds and provide quick and efficient video and still-image use. It does all of that reasonably well, but the tripod legs don't lock in position. Every time I make a small adjustment in the placement of the tripod, I need to extend each leg so that they are stable. It is certainly worth the modest price, but for a few bucks more, it would be a much more dependable product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So simple to use... I haven't used it yet for actual photography, but I have put it together with my bridge camera. The first thing I love is that you don't have to totally undo the mount from the camera to change memory cards or batteries like you do with other tripods. It connects to the camera with a button-like connector that doesn't cover the memory card/battery compartment. It is very sturdy, but adjusts easily. And you can't beat the price for a Manfrotto tripod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great compact tripod I was looking for something more compact and with flip locks and a pan style head for video. This meets my needs perfectly. I love the pistol grip for shooting video. It's not the lightest tripod but it's built well and works perfectly. Love the button attachment for my camera. Quick and easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the money Not the best tripod ever, but fine for dslr's. Not great for video capture, fine for stills though. If you're mainly using it for video, I would suggest spending the extra cash to get a more solid tripod.
