  • 1Description

The black Compact Aluminum Monopod from Manfrotto is a lightweight support for cameras weighing 3.3 lb or less. It extends from 15.4" to 57.3" and weighs just 11.7 oz. Flip locks secure its five leg sections in place, and a 1/4"-20 threaded screw on the mounting platform attaches to the tripod mount of most cameras. An ergonomic soft grip and a wrist strap help ensure comfort and security while shooting, and a protective cap covers the 1/4"-20 screw when not in use.

    Manfrotto MMCOMPACT-BK reviews

Compact Aluminum Monopod (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first monopod so take this with a grain of salt... Prepping for an Alaskan cruise so picked up some new binoculars (Nikon Prostaff 7s 10x42) for wildlife, especially birds while at sea. I had read where people were using mono- and tripods wit their binoculars and thought I would give it a shot. In a chat with a B&H rep I learned I could use the Barski tripod adapter with the binoculars and went with the Monfrotto Monopod. The decision on this one (over the one recommended in the chat) was the length when collapsed. This fits nicely in my backpack so will be easy to tote around the ship and on excursions. Thanks to B&H for the assistance and the quick shipment!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Monopod Excellent Monopod. Especially for a non-pro shooter, its easy to use, sturdy and small to pack. Good price, and it seems like it will last a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It could not be better This monopod is absolutely awesome. It is very small, very light so easy to transport when travelling, but extended its long enough and I am 182 cm tall. It is very sturdy and carries my AG AF100 with lense and microphone easily. The handle is oval in shape and it is designed that when attached to the camera it fits perfectly in the hand with the long side of the oval pointing forward. I am very impressed and happy. This great thing was a bargain

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight travel companion Needed a lightweight (and inexpensive) replacement for a bulky tripod in carry-on baggage. Supports a Nikon D3200 but is a little wobbly when fully extended. Would recommend for someone who frequently blurs their point and shoot pictures. Next time I'll get one that supports 10+ pounds (and hopefully test some samples).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, great price! Using this monopod with my Canon SLR Rebel, very easy to use. Not cheaply built as I would assume most monopods could be done that way. The strap itself keeps coming undone every now and then thanks to my slightly bigger hands, so I wish they would make it with more slack. Other than that no complaints!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Compact If one is looking for a compact lightweight monopod, this one is excellent. Very positive locks as one extends the leg. It is nice that it comes in different colors. I would not use this for a heavy DSLR but for your aim and create and Ultra Zoom style cameras it is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lighter than expected! This is 11.7 oz of pure value. It extends and collapses easily and has a useful low-tech rubber cap attached. My third Manfrotto purchase and I'm very happy with all items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awsome I put my canon 7D on and it handled it. I felt secure with this monopod and it was light to carry and easily folds. So glad I purchased it.
