LATCH LAKE 2200 Boom Reviews
A beast of a stand
This stand is just at a completely different level of polish than any other I've used. The clamping mechanisms are intense and solid - and highly adjustable - and the base ensures that it feels really secure. My only issue so far is getting a feel for how tight to adjust the various clamps, since I don't want to overtighten anything. But having used this stand, I don't know how I would go back to anything else...
Wheel issues
I'm not sure why this would happen to this device because you would think that knowing the weight of this once set up that the wheels attached to the base could handle the pressure. However, after setup with all pieces intact, we went home for the weekend only to return on Monday to move the boom set up and one of the wheels had split!? We are happy with the sturdiness of the item and how solid and firm it operates but to have cheap rubber wheels that crack even before it's first move by just pressure alone has earned this item a 3 star instead of a 5. Let's hope that B&H can fix this issue as we have had three large and costly orders and will order more if their customer service is up to par.
