Is the Rode SmartLav compatible with iphone 8?

Is the Rode SmartLav compatible with iphone 8?
Asked by: Kelly
Yes, but you'll have to use your lightning converter that came with your phone. I have two Rode SmartLav's and I used mine with my iPhone 8, then my iPhone X and now my iPhone 12 Pro. I host an Amazon Prime travel show called "Places to Go" and it is the lav that you'll see clipped to my shirts except I also have the TRRS to TRS converter so that I can use it with non-phone recorders such as the Sony PCM-A10 used for most of the filming.

question

(This question is in regards to the Rode Rec app.) How much free storage space would I need on my iPhone to record approximately 30 minutes of audio?
Asked by: Anonymous
Output in multiple formats including WAV, MP3, AIFF, AAC, Apple Lossless, FLAC and more. The memory used will be dependent upon the codec used. So recorded in standard Apple file format at 128kbps will yield a file size of about 28MB which is .028GB.
