The off-white Bogen Communications HFCS1 is a 6.5" 75W passive ceiling speaker designed to deliver full-range frequency reproduction for clear, intelligible foreground sound and speech reinforcement in offices, retail environments, transportation facilities, and more. It features a computer-matched venting system that aids the speaker in achieving a full bass output and a large back can for extended bass response.
The HFCS1 utilizes a coaxial speaker design with a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer and a 0.75" polycarbonate dome tweeter, yielding a frequency response of 65 Hz to 19 kHz (-10 dB) and high power handling capability. A front-mounted transformer tap selector provides easy access to a variety of 70V/100V power taps and a 16-ohm transformer bypass setting.
Wiring and installation is simplified thanks to the snap-lock input connector and integral swing-out clamps. The speaker is supplied with an input terminal cover with knockouts for additional protection of the connections.
The TBCR from Bogen is a Tile Bridge Support Ring for the HFCS1. This support will hold the weight of clamping type ceiling speakers in suspended ceiling installations.
