This 0.3" chrome Leica Soft Release Button for M-System Cameras screws into the shutter release button's threads, and provides a larger surface area as well as a unique design. It has a painted brass finish and features the Leica logo. Additionally, a threaded rear backing attachment is included so the soft release can also be used as a lapel pin or clothing accessory.

No. This will not fit on a Q2. It is designed to screw into the the shutter release button of the Leica M series cameras. The Q/Q2 has a different design shutter release button that does not allow it.

No, the Leica Q has a different shutter release button and will not fit.

Does this have a locking system so it does's come unscrew?
No, it doesn't have a locking mechanism. It simply screws down on the shutter release button and you would notice easily if it started to come unscrewed a bit in which time you would snug it back down.

I have never seen a Leica M3, but if the shutter release button on the M3 has a threaded hole in its center for a standard shutter release cable, then it will accept this soft-release button.
