This 0.5" black Leica Soft Release Button for M-System Cameras screws into the shutter release button's threads, and provides a larger surface area as well as a unique design. It has a painted brass finish and features the Leica M-system logo. No. This will not fit on a Q2. It is designed to screw into the the shutter release button of the Leica M series cameras. The Q/Q2 has a different design shutter release button that does not allow it.

Does this have a locking system so it does's come unscrew?
No, it doesn't have a locking mechanism. It simply screws down on the shutter release button and you would notice easily if it started to come unscrewed a bit in which time you would snug it back down.
