DPA Microphones 3511A Overview

The d:dicate 3511A Stereo Kit with 4011A Cardioid Microphones by DPA is a kit designed for use when capturing instruments or vocals in recording and live sound reinforcement applications. The 3511A kit includes two frequency matched 4011A cardioid microphones, two UA0897 shock mounts, two UA0896 foam windscreens, two UA0961 microphone holders, one DUA0019 spacer for stereo boom, and one UA0837 stereo boom excluding holders

The 4011A Cardioid Microphones are matched within 1 dB on frequency response, sensitivity, and self-noise. These cardioids are linear in their frequency response and allow for several different set-ups, such as ORTF and XY configurations. The microphones can handle high SPL for both close-miking and distant placement. The 3511A kit can be used for piano recordings of jazz or pop, or as an overhead for drums and other instruments.

Cardioid pickup pattern provides maximum separation between sound sources
Equally suitable for close-up work on acoustic guitar, grand piano, overheads, percussion, wind instruments, and vocals
Flat on-axis frequency response and high-quality phase response
20 dB pad switch in the center of the XLR connector to attenuate the output of the microphone
