Luckily, you can upload and share your best moments and watch your friends' using the Mario Kart TV. Nintendo TVii maximizes your current cable, satellite, and video-on-demand services by pulling all of your available content sources - such as a Comcast cable package or Hulu Plus subscription - into one place. This empowers you to focus on what you want to watch and not how you want to watch. And once you find the show, sporting event, or movie you want, you can press an icon and Nintendo TVii does the rest. In addition to simplifying finding and watching video content, Nintendo TVii also includes a series of social features that enable you to share experiences and exciting moments with friends as they are happening on live TV. People can engage with others by commenting and sharing on Miiverse, Facebook, and Twitter. Or they can comment, post or tweet about an incredible touchdown, a remarkable performance, or a shocking plot twist, all using the personal screen of the Wii U GamePad.
Nintendo TVii requires no additional equipment and can be enjoyed with very little setup, demonstrating what's possible when the second screen is truly integrated with the TV. You can also discover more information about what you're watching by accessing information on the GamePad via an Internet connection, including cast details, movie reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, and sports data such as live stats and scores.
On the Nintendo eShop homepage, you'll find featured games, new releases, and more - all accessible with a quick tap on the GamePad touchscreen. Search for games by genre, publisher, price, and more. Use the Parental Control setting to limit access to games based on their ESRB rating for specific users on your Wii U console or to restrict Wii U Shopping Services.
Access the Internet Browser while in the middle of a game using the HOME Button. You can pause your game at any time and go look up information about it online. The game will still be visible as you browse and you can quickly return to it when ready.
