The charcoal gray D8223 Prox Pro Reader from Bosch is a Wiegand protocol reader that features a weather-resistant enclosure. It is designed to fit a vertically‑mounted, US standard, single‑gang switch box for easy installation. This reader is field‑adjustable through a selectable jumper setting and can be mounted directly onto metal surfaces with minimal effect on its read range performance. When a proximity card is presented to the reader, the red LED flashes green and the beeper sounds. Both the beeper and LED configurations can be controlled individually by the host system.
