Destiny
Humanity's Golden Age
Everything changed with the arrival of the Traveler. Long ago, it breathed new life into the solar system. Rain washed over Mars. Fresh air cleansed the skies over Venus. Soon after, humanity raced into the black and colonized these newly remade worlds. It was a time of miracles, a great Golden Age.
Hope in the Darkness
It did not last. The Traveler had an ancient enemy. A powerful darkness eventually found Earth and nearly destroyed humanity. No one knows exactly what happened in those final moments, but humanity survived, thanks to the Traveler.
Humanity Rises Again
In humanity's darkest days, Humans, Exos, and Awoken found the Traveler where it made its last stand, low above Earth, silent and immobile. Humanity built the City, their last, within its protective veil while fighting countless wars to keep its peace. From that dark age, Guardians were born.
The New Frontier
A new era has begun and the only hope for humanity's future lies in unlocking the greatest mysteries of humanity's past. Playing as a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth, you'll be able to wield some of the Traveler's incredible power. Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks have finally returned to the long lost worlds, only to find out that humanity is not alone. Defend the last safe City of Earth. Defeat humanity's enemies. Explore the ancient ruins of the solar system. Discover all of what humanity lost. Become legend.
Guardians (Playable Classes)

Titan
The first Titans built the Wall and gave their lives to defend it. As a Titan, you stand in the same place as your predecessors. Your enemies may be deadly and merciless, but so are you. You hail from a line of legendary heroes and your strength and skill will be needed to shatter their ranks.

Warlock
Warlocks have long studied the Traveler, mastering some of its arcane energies. Its true purpose still remains a great mystery, but discovering truth has always driven you into the unknown. Now, your enemies stand between you and your greatest discovery, the secrets of the Golden Age.

Hunter
Hunters once prowled the wilderness and wastelands, taking big risks for even bigger rewards. As a Hunter, making your own luck has always meant bending the rules. But you are no outlaw, at least, not anymore, and your unique brand of daring and ingenuity will be needed now more than ever.
Destinations

Earth
After the Darkness swept over humanity, the Traveler made its last stand to save Earth. Beneath, humanity built the last City within its protective aura. From here, Guardians stand watch, defend humanity's civilization, and strike out into the wild frontiers of Earth and beyond to reclaim their lost worlds.

Moon
Like Earth, the ruins of humanity's former glory can be found scattered across the familiar lunar surface. Recent exploration attempts have been repulsed, reporting increased enemy activity, and even strange tectonic phenomenon. The City has since classified the Moon as a "Forbidden Zone," open only to the most brave and experienced Guardians.

Venus
Venus was once the site of great discovery, a paradise. Now, it is a monument to all that humanity has lost. The old stories say humanity built an academy dedicated to learning and research on the shore of a sea, and that the waters themselves boiled and rose up to shatter the coast, washing away all that has been built.

Mars
Little is known about Mars. Humanity built a massive metropolis in the red dust. The Darkness swept nearly all of it away and the sand claimed the rest. No one knows what remains of humanity's lost age, now buried beneath the dunes.
Enemy Types

Fallen
Fallen are hardy creatures who can survive in a wide range of environments without heavy armor or complex modifications to their physiology. They travel light, hit hard, and are gone before you know it. Fallen may look like mere scavengers, but on closer inspection, you will see hints of a sophisticated past, and the proud markings of their ancestral "Houses."

Hive
Hive manipulate the physical world. The Hive have carved a kingdom deep into the lifeless core of the Moon. Silent and buried, the Hive serves as a reminder of the tremendous power that brought forth the Collapse.

Vex
Scattered reports indicate that the Vex appear to be mass-produced machine units, constructed of an unknown metal alloy resembling hammered brass. All attempts to communicate with them have failed. They are hostile. They are unrelenting. They are deadly.

Cabal
Few Guardians have faced Cabal and lived to tell the tale. They are a professional military operation. On every front, humanity has found them on the march. They have already dug in and ringed their installations with razor wire. Now, it seems they've turned their eyes towards humanity.
Sony PlayStation 4 (Glacier White)
1.84 Teraflops of PlayStation 4 Graphics
The PlayStation's graphics processing unit (GPU) contains a unified array of 18 Compute Units, which collectively generate 1.84 teraflops of processing power that can be applied freely to graphics, simulation tasks, or a mixture of the two. The PlayStation 4 is also equipped with 8GB of unified system memory, easing game creation and increasing the richness of content achievable. High-speed GDDR5 is used for the memory, giving the system a total of 176 GB/s of bandwidth and providing a further boost to graphics performance.
Personalized, Curated Content
The PlayStation 4 has the ability to learn your preferences. It will gauge your likes and dislikes and suggest content to match them. This allows you to discover content specifically tailored to you. It can even download and install content on your console. Search for games in your favorite genres or by your favorite game developers. You can also look over game-related information shared by your friends, view your friends' gameplay, or get recommendations for content, such as games, TV shows, and movies.
Play as You Download
Spend less time waiting and more time playing with the PlayStation 4. When you purchase a game that is enabled with this feature, the PlayStation 4 downloads the core content so you can start playing as soon as possible. While you're playing, the PlayStation 4 downloads the rest of the game in the background.
Remote Play
Remote Play on the PlayStation 4 fully unlocks the PlayStation Vita's potential, making it the ultimate companion device. With the PlayStation Vita, you will be able to play a range of PlayStation 4 titles on the PlayStation Vita's 5" display over a Wi-Fi network. The PlayStation Vita is sold separately.
PlayStation App
The PlayStation App will enable iOS and Android smartphones and tablets to become second screens for the PlayStation 4. Once installed on these devices, players can view in game items, purchase PlayStation 4 games, download PlayStation 4 games directly to the console at home, and even watch the gameplay of other gamers remotely.
DualShock 4 Wireless Controller
The included DualShock 4 wireless controller features familiar controls from its predecessor, the DualShock 3, while also introducing innovative ways to interact with games and other players. Improved dual analog sticks and trigger buttons offer precise control while the capacitive touch pad provides a unique way of interacting with games. The Share button allows you to share your gameplay over social media.
PlayStation Plus
While PlayStation Plus is not required for services such as Netflix, or sharing gameplay via the Share button, it does provide additional features to enhance your PlayStation 4 experience. The most important feature of PlayStation Plus is your ability to play online multiplayer. If you do not have a PlayStation Plus membership, you will not be able play online. PlayStation Plus also provides exclusive access to a regular, curated selection of titles at no additional cost known as the Instant Game Collection. In addition to free monthly games, PlayStation Plus members also get regular discounts in the PlayStation Store. PlayStation Plus also provides members with the ability to automatically (or manually) upload game save files to the Online Game Save Storage for safekeeping. PlayStation Plus members will have up to 1GB of cloud storage to allocate their PlayStation 4 save files. Other benefits of having a PlayStation Plus membership include early access to exclusive game content, automatic game patch downloads and installations, and more.

Please note that a PlayStation Plus membership is required for online multiplayer.
