Great way to convert Manfrot to Arca Quick Release Baseplate

This works great to convert from Manfrotto to Arca Quick Release Baseplate. It fit the Manfrotto side perfect. But the slot on my new arca baseplate was to small. I had to file some of the material to fit. So I'm guessing not all Arca baseplates are same dimensions. Mine is a SmallRig Arca-Type Quick Release Baseplate.

I have a Manfrotto 057 ball head with 410PL plate & want to convert to Arca Swiss. Will this adaptor work?
The 057 head has not been specifically tested with the Desmond DBAD Female to Male Boss Adapter but based on use with other 410PL compatible heads, it should be compatible.

Is there something just opposite to this available that allows Manfrotto plates on Arca ball heads?
Search the b&h website. There are some clamps that will fit both arca and Manfrotto. The problem with manfrotto ball heads is they use a proprietary joint between the ball stem and the clamp. This is why I needed the adapter. So if you get a clamp that fits both it might mount on an arca ball stem without an adapter.
