This version of the X-Rite i1 Basic Pro 2 from Fujifilm does not include the X-Rite Profile Software normally included with the X-Rite i1 Basic Pro 2 as it is intended to be used exclusively with the IS-mini LUT box/calibration device. Used in conjunction with the IS-mini, the X-Rite probe reads monitor settings from LCD displays providing data the IS-mini uses to tweak its image processing settings. This allows looks to be previewed before the video gets graded - ideal when working with proxy files not suitable for color correction. It can also serve to put contrast back into video recorded with Log, giving the editor and other team members a truer sense of how the final, color-corrected video will look.

This version of the X-Rite i1 Basic Pro 2 from Fujifilm does not include the X-Rite Profile Software normally included with the X-Rite i1 Basic Pro 2 as it is intended to be used exclusively with the IS-mini LUT box/calibration device. Used in conjunction with the IS-mini, the X-Rite probe reads monitor settings from LCD displays providing data the IS-mini uses to tweak its image processing settings. This allows looks to be previewed before the video gets graded - ideal when working with proxy files not suitable for color correction.
