The TL-SG108E 8-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch from TP-Link is designed for small and medium business networks that require simple network management. To optimize traffic on your business network, Easy Smart switch offers both port- and tag-based QoS to keep latency-sensitive traffic moving smoothly and jitter-free. With its innovative energy-efficient technology, the Gigabit switch can save up to 80% of power consumption, making it an eco-friendly solution for your business network.

This Gigabit Easy Smart switch offers network monitoring for users to observe traffic behavior. With Port Mirroring, Loop Prevention, and Cable Diagnostics features, this switch can identify and even locate connection problems on your business network. Administrators can designate the priority of the traffic, based on Port Priority and 802.1P Priority, to ensure that voice and video are always clear, smooth, and lag-free. Furthermore, to improve security and network performance, the switch supports MTU VLAN, port-based VLAN, and 802.1Q-based VLAN functions. The Easy Smart switch is an upgrade from the plug and play Unmanaged Switch, delivering value while empowering your network.

The TL-SG108E features an energy-efficient technology that can expand your network's capacity with less power. The Gigabit switch automatically adjusts power consumption according to the link status and cable length to limit the carbon footprint of your network. When a computer or network equipment is off, the corresponding port of a traditional switch will continue to consume considerable amounts of power. The Gigabit switch can automatically detect the link status of each port and reduce the power consumption of ports that are idle. This switch analyzes the length of the Ethernet cable connected and adjusts the power usage accordingly, rather than keeping the power consumption in a conventional solution.

This Gigabit switch is easy to use and manage. Auto MDI/MDI-X crossover on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables or uplink ports. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (10, 100, or 1000 Mb/s), and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance. Its compact size makes it suitable for desktops with limited space as it is rack-mountable, convenient, and safe. It also features LED lights that provide real-time work status display and basic fault diagnosis.

I was buying on Amazon and they use this terrible reseller called Blaze networking that sells used stuff as new. Everything I have bought from BHP has been great and sell new as all brand new stock. Great seller to replace AmaWingnut funder.

Nice Little Switch with VLANs

I bought this for my stereo cabinet to keep my HTPCs on a separate network segment from the Vizio M70-C3, Bluray player and audio receiver, using VLANs. These "Smart" IoT devices probe their network segment with UPnP, and will phone home to their mother ship if possible; from a computer security perspective, it's good to keep them safely in their own sandbox. Thus far, this unit has been working just fine. The web interface is simple and easy to use. And B&H had a great deal on it when I ordered, making this an easy purchase decision.

Hi! No, the TL-SG108E is not Omada SDN compatible. For Omada SDN compatibility, please consider the TL-SG2008 instead.

We are unable to verify which hardware version a switch has. As we may have mixed inventory. And they are not sorted by version numbers.

What is the hardware revision of this switch?
Asked by: Konstanty
I'm very sorry but the revision is not something the manufacturer tells us before they ship them to us. If they had different part numbers, it would be easy to tell but since they don't, we cannot guarantee which revision is inside the box. Sorry for the inconvenience.
