The Axler QRA-501L Quick Release Assembly gives you the freedom to remove your camera from a tripod, stabilizer, or support rig without having to spend time unscrewing it from the device. It includes a quick release adapter and long Manfrotto 501PL style sliding camera plate for smooth and easy camera positioning. The longer plate length offers increased sliding range for balancing larger or heavier camera rigs. The plate includes 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera screws for use with a variety of cameras, and features three built-in bubble levels to assist with leveling. 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes on the underside of the adapter are provided for mounting to tripods, stabilizers, or other support rigs. Additionally, a 3/8"-16 screw and hex key are included which give you the flexibility to mount the adapter to any 3/8"-16 threaded hole.

No, the design is similar but Sachtler uses a proprietary design. They are not interchangeable.

How much weigth can this assembly carry / hold?
There is no listed weight limit for this adapter. We would however, feel comfortable up to 20 maybe 25 lbs.

Will the QRA-501L fit the Manfrotto ball head on a 055xB tripod. And does the assembly come as bottom tripod plate and a quick connection to camera or accessory? I need more stable platform to hold 22#.
What you see is what you get. There is a bottom plate with screw holes to accommodate any tripod quick release plate. Then the QRA-501L's own quick release plate that you attach to the bottom of the camera slips right into bottom plate. Once mounted, be sure to clamp the plate with the ratcheted lever. If the lever is blocked by the camera body and cannot tighten, pull the lever out and move it into a good position, push in and then tighten. Do this as much as needed, usually no more than 1-2 twists.

You can attach this quick release assembly to the quick release plate that comes with the Sunpak 7000. It should work just fine.
