Follow up on the question about fitting in overhead. One reviewer said that it was bulky and did not fit in the overhead, the Q&A answered with yes it does. Measurements are well within the overhead spec for Alaska Airlines requirements for overhead. Do some carriers restrict the carry on regardless of the math? just curious as I'm weighing this vs. the hardshell CaseCruzer which requires checking it.
You should be checking with the airline to learn what planes have overhead compartments that will fit the case and then, when booking a flight, tell them you need to use whatever type aircraft has that size overhead compartment. You have to provide the case dimensions so have them ready.
