Connecting to the DTG2 via the vehicle's tether, it receives the live video feed from the DTG2's camera, so you can see from topside what the ROV sees below. The splash-resistant controller features an RCA video output enabling connection to TVs, other monitors, and recording devices, and it can be plugged into PCs using optional converters. The 5.6" LCD lets you clearly see and explore the underwater world, and has adjustable brightness, tint, color, and contrast, with a maximum brightness of 150 cd/sq ft.
A 2-axis joystick enables control over the ROV's thrusters, while a 1-axis joystick lets you control pitch. This pitch stick can also be used to make the ROV's optional grabber rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise. Additionally, the controller has buttons for operating the camera, the flood light, and the grabber's open and close functions. Indicator LEDs alert you to low power, thruster failures, communication errors, and leaks.
The controller is included with the Pro, Smart, and Worker ROV Packages, and is offered here as a spare or replacement part. It serves as an upgrade from the standard controller included with the Starter Package.
