The Octa Soft and Natural Creator Kit was put together by B&H to enhance a mini-studio of lighting equipment with the creative potential available with chroma key technology. The kit includes two 4-socket fluorescent fixtures, eight daylight-balanced spiral fluorescent lamps, two 24" Octa softboxes with 8' air-cushioned light stands, and a Savage Photo Creator Kit with a 5 x 7' green screen, chroma key software, and 720 digital backgrounds.
The Octa 4-Socket Fluorescent Fixture from Impact is a four Edison socket base that accepts CFL fluorescent bulbs up to 85W. The back panel features dual rocker switches, each of which control the on/off function for two lights allowing the creation of a light ratio. The fixture has a multi-voltage power supply for worldwide use (with addition of optional adapter plug) and has a standard 5/8" receiver for light stands and accessories. The matching Octa Softbox features a highly reflective, pebbled interior and a removable front face that attaches with simple touch-fasteners. In use, it renders the signature wrap-around look that it's well known for, as well as natural circular catch-lights in your subject's eyes. The softboxes are supported by Impact 8' stands that gently lower the lights during height adjustments thanks to their air-cushioning.
Using green screen technology, and the included software, the Savage Photo Creator Kit permits you to take a simple photograph against the included green screen cloth and simply drop in a distant locale or landmark that places your subject far from where you took the photo without ever boarding a plane.

This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
The SF-32-120 Impact Spiral Fluorescent Lamp is a 32W/120V E26 medium screw-base lamp that fits Impact fixtures such as the Octacool and VA902 as well as many other lamp head brands. The lamp is daylight color balanced and has an average lamp life of 10,000 hours.
