question

What does the inside of your heat-seal cardboard mounts look like? Every commercial do-it-yourself mount I've ever known has something inside that lets one center the film clip with reasonable precision before sealing it closed. Your photo of an open mount, apart from a raised line across the bottom, shows nothing that lets one do that. There must be something that guides your placement of the film clip to the mount's center and keeps it there after you've sealed it closed. That line that shows inside at the bottom in your photo might be a clue towards that goal, but I need to see/know more. What helps the centering job at the inside top and both sides? Some other diy mounts have a heat-sensitive layer frame on all four sides with none in the middle. Because it has some thickness, it defines the centered space where the film clip goes. Others use a series of inward-facing raised half-circles of the cardboard itself strategically embossed on all four sides. What do yours have that doesn't show in your photo? If nothing, what's that line all about?

These are heat sealing frames. The inside is recessed to the size of the slide. They are very easy to place and seal properly.

question

will these fit Kodak 800 carousel slide projector?
Asked by: Anonymous
I guess your question has been answered, that is great. However, I wanted you to know what I bought them for. I work in Polymer Clay, and the slides are perfect to place my work sample swatches into and file in a folder. Best filing system!
