With an impressive load capacity of 88 lb and a maximum height of 21', the Wide Base Overhead Stand from Kupo is a staple on set for situations when you need to rig an overhead frame high above. The stand is constructed from steel and features two adjustable sliding legs for use on uneven ground.

Rigging overhead large overhead frames is the ideal solution for diffusing sunlight, reflecting large light sources, or producing shade for talent comfort and complete lighting control. When established during exterior shoots, this presents the problem of properly supporting heavy and wide frames while also protecting them from becoming a safety hazard in high winds. Kupo's Wide Base High Overhead Stand provides a sizeable footprint of 77.2" for a sturdy foundation when creating overhead rigs. Additionally, one of the stand's legs is Rocky Mountain-style, making it easier to balance heavy loads in locations with uneven or hazardous terrain. The stand's four risers are locked down by steel collars and knobs, and the top riser holds a combination grip head with a 4-1/2" grip head and 1-1/8" stud and receiver, three welded eye-rings dedicated for tie-off ropes or ratchet straps. For extra safety, spring-cushioning has been integrated into each riser to mitigate accidental drops, protecting technicians and equipment.
