Keep an eye on your home or office with this motion-activated Coat Hook Hidden Camera, in black, from BrickHouse Security.
The coat hook can be used as an actual coat hook, supporting up to 5 lb of weight, but hidden inside is a video camera that begins recording upon detecting any motion within a 10 ft distance and 90° detection angle. The camera records to microSD cards (sold separately) that install into a card slot also hidden inside. Via a small hidden switch on the coat hook you can also manually set the camera to record.
When you're ready to view your recordings, just connect an included USB cable to a USB port concealed on the front of the coat hook, and plug the other end to your computer. The camera works off of a built-in battery, and the battery is rechargeable using the same USB cable, which you can connect to your computer or standard USB charger. The battery runs for approximately two hours.
Two mounting options are possible -- via included screws or included double-sided tape (or you can use your own tape). To charge the battery or transfer recordings, the coat hook would need to be taken down and brought near your computer or charger, and this is easily doable if you mounted it using screws. If you used tape, this isn't a problem as you can just use additional double-sided tape to mount the coat hook back up.
The camera records at 1280 x 960 resolution and offers multiple recording options to conserve battery life and storage space.
