    Metz 64 AF-1 reviews

mecablitz 64 AF-1 digital Flash for Olympus/Panasonic/Leica Cameras is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Like this Light I a professional Photographer that switched to MFF from Canon going with the Oly Em1. Digging the camera, but need a more powerful compatible flash than the Oly 600. I work wirelessly and this Metz seems to work well with my Em1. Only con so far is the menu is confusing to use because when you make setting on the digital menu, it does not stay active long enough for me to make adjustments. You have to keep hitting the activation switch to see the menu choices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust for High Speed Synch I actually rented both the Canon 600Ex Speedlight and the Metz 64 AF-1 for comparison before deciding which one to purchase, I often shoot in daylight in High Speed Synch mode for a lot of my work and as you know that can result in thermal issues in a short period of time. While the Metz 64 is certainly not immune from overheating I found that it is much more robust than the Canon Speedlight 600Ex in that regard. I do like the rugged yet smooth build quality with the rugged metal shoe and I saved around 100 USD to boot as well, Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the touch screen menu I have had many flashes and this, by far, is the easiest to use and is extremely powerful with a 64 guide #. Just love the fact that I can control the flash using the touch screen menu - no dials to turn; no figuring out which button to press. Great Flash !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from METZ 64 AF-1 This flash has a lot of power and has been very easy to use. Currently on my Olympus E-5 and respond great. Touch screen settings are easy to use and quickly accessible for functions. The flash works in full TTL mode with the camera. the metal base mounting shoe makes me more comfortable for stability than the plastic ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compatibility Issue with Leica Bought on basis of descriptive, i.e.,compatible with Leica. But, returned it because it is not compatible with Leica M240, nor Leica SL. Configuration of contact pins is different. But it is compatible with the Leica branded Panasonic cameras.
