Does the Cactus V5 work with Canon 1DX Mark ll and if so what cable does it require?
Asked by: Jamie
I don’t have a 1DX but the V5’s work just fine with 6D II, 7D II, and 70D. No cable required; just attach it to the hot shoe. If you need an on camera flash the V5 has a pass-through feature.

Been using these with a Nikon d7100 for some time to trigger camera and multiple flashes. Is there a way to add a camranger mini to my setup?
Asked by: Paul
Since the CamRanger Mini relies on a USB connection, you can use it in conjunction with these Cactus triggers by adding the Nikon UC-E6 USB Cable (4.5') B&H # NIUCCP2100.

Is this unit the pocket wizard flex TT-5 equivalent? Many thanks.

The V5 trigger can fire a flash wirelessly like the Pocket Wizard TT5, but it does not transmit any TTL information between the camera and flash.

question

Which adapter or adapters are required to mount the Metz mecablitz 52 A-1 Sony digital flash onto a Cactus V5 transceiver? Thanks
Asked by: Mark R.
Unfortunately, there are no adapters which will convert a Metz flash with a Sony Multi-Interface Shoe to a standard hot shoe to fir the V5. However, if the Metz flash uses the older Sony/Minolta Shoe, the Vello Hot Shoe Adapter - Converts Standard Hot Shoe to Sony Hot Shoe + PC Socket B&H # VEHSACCS would be compatible.
