Eve Audio TS108 Overview

The TS108 ThunderStorm from EVE Audio is an active subwoofer that features a 150W (peak) amplifier that drives a proprietary 8" woofer. This allows a frequency response of down to 33Hz up to 300Hz, for a maximum output power of 105dB (SPL @ 1m).

It also features switchable full range and 80Hz filters for connecting satellite speakers, phase switch controls, and variable subwoofer filter frequencies. These features let you tailor and adjust the TS108 to your specific room.

The included remote control will let you adjust not only the subwoofer's volume, but also the satellites volume while sitting comfortably in your sweet spot. The speaker also features balanced XLR inputs and outputs.

Excellent subwoofer, some setup issues

It sounds fantastic. So that's great. However, when shipped from the factory, 4 of the DIP switches in the back were switched to 'off,' preventing basically everything from working. This was frustrating, as, when nothing works, you tend to think the thing is actually broken. Since resolving that issue, however, the subwoofer has been nothing but pure pleasure. It works perfectly with Eve's SC205 speakers.

Don't buy it. The build quality is atrocious. I had to ship mine back (brand new, across the EU border) for repairs. The sattelite bypass wasn't working. Shipping and service was horrible, all-in-all, it took them 6 months to fix it and get it back to me. had to pay for all the shipping costs. This piece of *beep* ended up costing me x2 times what it was worth. And now that I got the repaired unit back - it still has some problems - the led indicators all go haywire (they constantly flash for no apparent reason when the unit is operational).
