The 2.5" eSATA/USB 2.0 SATA Hard Drive Enclosure from StarTech is able to fit virtually any 2.5" hard drive or SSD up to 9.5mm in height and allow it to be connected to your computer using either eSATA, at speeds up to 3 Gb/s, or USB 2.0, at speeds up to 480 Mb/s. This drive enclosure is compatible with SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, and SATA 1.5 Gb/s drives and has been tested with drives up to 1TB in size and a rotational speed of 5400 rpm. Once equipped with a drive, this enclosure may be used to store files, such as music, documents, movies, and more, as well as be used for backing up data.
This hard drive enclosure is also bus powered, uses LED monitors to check the status of the drive's power and activity, is built using an aluminum chassis, and is both plug-and-play and hot swap compatible.
