Manfrotto MT190X3 Overview

The Manfrotto MT190X3 Aluminum Tripod is an addition to the popular 190 series, adding a Quick Power Lock System, ground level adapter, and an Easy Link attachment. It can hold up to 33 lb of gear, and has a maximum height of 63". The QPL system allows the three leg sections to be completely extended with one hand for simple set up. An Easy Link adapter attachment allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets. Each leg can be set at four different angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain.

Manfrotto MT190X3 Reviews

Built well but

I like the adjustments with the hand lever but I could not do any rotation and keep on the same axis for panorama shots. But all other aspects it is a well made product.

I really like this tripod and although aluminum adding more weight it is sturdy and easy to adjust for those low shots.

A Solid and Secure Piece of Gear

This is an update of the model I've been working with for the past 13 years, and there are many significant improvements. The rubber hand grip on one of the legs is much more substantial, and the height has increased by 4 inches. The levers are longer which gives you more leverage when flipping them open and shut--however the quality of these levers feels a tad more flimsy. The rubber feed pads are more robust. And best of all, the lock at the top of each leg now opens in the opposite direction, towards the tripod feet. So their much, much easier to click open and spread the legs outward. Lastly, the legs are no longer completely round, which adds strength and allows the legs to glide open with more ease.

best low angle heavy duty tripod I could find

I was in need of a low angle capable tripod that could hold a rigged out bmpcc 4k (blackmagic pocket cine camera 4K) without sagging under weight problems, ANNNNNND you know what? THIS WORKS OUT. I'm happy to have found a tripod that works for me. I can finally stop stacking boxes or shoving folded paper under my old dumb solutions! This is a great tripod for creative angles.

Just bought my second one of these!

I love these tripod legs. I bought one 3-4 years ago and have travelled all around the world with it. It's really taken a beating but I've never had any problems with it breaking at all. I just bought my second and use it with the other one to hold up my 42 Rhino carbon fibre slider rails. Highly recommended.

Came broken and BH fixed it

I was really dissapointed because I have heard for years that Manfrotto is the BEST on the market, and when I finally decided to order a Manfrotto tripod, it came broken on one of the clips on the leg. I wrote to BH and they didn't hesitate to change it for another one. The second one came good. But I'm still a little septical about the tripod. Compare to my last one (not Manfrotto), this new one doesn't feel like its going to last.

A great find.

Is there a way to hang a bag of sand or rocks from the tripod (to increase stability)?
Asked by: Eva
I would agree that the Oben Tripod Hammock, BH # OBSTB10 would be the best way to counterweight this tripod, as Manfrotto doesn't offer an accessory hook for this model. https://bhpho.to/39GOYen
