question

How do the images produced by FD lenses with this adaptor compare to images produced by FD lenses on Canon film cameras?
Asked by: Roger F.
There is no comparison I am aware of that has been made. This adapter has optics, adding optics to any lens will not make it better. So the most you will get is it will be the same but chances are it will loose some sharpness.

question

Hi, does this adapter compatible the FD lenses work with the Sony PXW-FS7 & Sony NEX-FS700 video camera?
Asked by: On Lim
This adapter does NOT fit the FS7. The rectangular bung on the edge of the mating surface causes interference, the adapter will not flush up to the camera body.

question

I have an a6300 and the FD lenses fit the Zhongyi Adapter fine but I can't get it to fit the a6300 body. Has anyone had this problem? is there something I'm missing or a setting I need? It basically won't thread onto body because the fittings are too shallow
Asked by: Joshua
There are many who have difficulty with this adapter. We suggest following the instructions regarding the correct procedure in mounting the lens. If still does not work, we then suggest contacting B&H Customer Service for a exchange or refund before 30 days is over.

question

if i plan to use other mounts, especially FD mount, can i use m42-FD adapters with this? Thanks
Asked by: Narudh A.
While this adapter does take the Canon FD mount, there have been no tests confirming that an M42- Canon FD adapter can work on this successfully. Your results may vary.

question

I have a collection of Canon FD lenses. Will this adapter fit the Sony A6000 camera and allow me to use all of my Canon lenses with the camera? I have a Canon 20mm, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, etc, lenses.
Asked by: David W.
Most FD glass will work with this adapter, but follow the included instruction so you don't damage the camera or lens. Some FL glass will work, it seems to be about 1 out of 3, the lever pin seems to be to long on some and the infinite setting may not be able to be reached on others. It's great on glass that will work.

question

I'm trying to get this to work with my Canon FL55 f/1.2 lens. The Zhongyi site says it will work but I can't it to connect. Am I missing something?
Asked by: Travis D.
Hi. Did you check that the zhongyi adapter is for FL Canon Lenses? Canon has several mount types, and i am guessing here but, are the most poppular/new the E may be? what i mean is that my be you have a Canon Lens adapter, but just not the correct mount type. I have a Zhongyi lens adapter, but for Pentax, and the difference is that pentax has the same mount from the 70s (or even before), so i did have this problem. The other issue is that may be you can mount the lens, but what you mean is that the auto-focus is not working. In this case this will never work, because this adapter is for manual focus use only. Even if you lens has an auto focus, the adapter has no chips or electric connection so the lens and the camera can communicate. That is why i guess you have a different mount in the Canon mount.Hope helps you.

question

Does anyone actually use this adapter with Canon 50mm f1.4 FD lens? On some other brands, it specifically stated it won't fit any FD lens with the rear lens protrude far outside of the lens body as it will interfere with the lens inside the adapter.
Asked by: Phil H.
I've used it almost exclusively with the FD 50 f1.4 and it works great. I have the newer FD (the smaller FDn, not the S.C.C. version), so it for sure fits that version.
