Streichfett - String Synthesizer is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best synth acc for the money This amazing little unit is too good to be true. In its price range it blows away any soft synth version of the 70s/80s string machines. To me it has a lot of Oberheim/Roland/Mellotron sensibilities. So much right at your fingertips, being able to single out different instruments (cello, electric piano, etc), or combine them and add rich built-in effects for incredibly unique sounds. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Streichfett the minute Waldorf announced it, and B&H made it happen well before any other online retailers began shipping them in the US. Danke schn, B&H!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds Great! This Waldorf Streichfett In my opinion is well worth it! I have a 1978 ARP OMNI string synth and have to say this sounds just as good or even better. Plus it just works un like my old ARP sometimes. The Waldorf is easy to use, simple layout like older string synths, And the ensemble button makes it sound real rich, Plus you can split both sides (string/Solo) and make it like two synths running on different midi channels if you would like. plus it has 128 voice fully polyphonic Strings section and 8 voice solo section which is more than you would ever really need. Great synth to add to your collection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Vintage String Sounds Always been a big fan of those massive 80s string sounds that couldn't be any further from the real deal. This little box definitely delivers the goods. Also, since it's a module, stacking synth sounds has never been easier. Load up a huge bass sound, add the Waldorf, and your half way there to recreating those terribly awesome sounds found on almost every 80s movie ever made. Love it. Great Jon Waldorf team. Also, killer reverb and chorus on this unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact, USB powered, fun This is a fun little synth. It's pretty compact and USB powered so easy to travel with and can powered with a USB battery. Editing sounds is intuitive and simple. It's not got a huge range of sounds -- but you wouldn't expect that from something marketed as a string synth. Some combinations of settings lead to unwanted distortion, even with the latest firmware. Not a deal breaker but potential buyers should be aware of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Analog Strings! A surprisingly nice sounding analog string emulation! Few controls but considerate ones. The effects sections reverb is nice and open sounding for strings. Sits nicely in mixes so far. Plus, unlike some vintage machines, this one's already in stereo!
