Outstanding lens case.

Exactly what I needed for my Nikon 200-500 lens

Fits the lens with the tripod foot and sun shield still attached. Solid and will protect it well. B&H delivered on time as well.

Great case for 70-200 f/2.8. Horrible strap!

I bought this specifically for a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II. I use the lens with a Nikon Z 7 II and it always has an FTZ attached. It will sometimes also have a TC-1.4 attached as well. This lens case handles all of this with ease, even with a tripod collar also mounted (lens hood reversed). The case is heavily padded. The case should provide adequate protection in anything short of a huge disaster. I already have an Ape Case for my 200-500 f/5.6, but I tried it in this case too. It a bit tighter fit due to the diameter and larger tripod mount. Since I have the Ape Case that is a bit larger, I'll continue to use it. But, this Ruggard would work if I needed it to. Being more rigid than the Ape Case, it might actually give better protection. Having seen several reviews that complain about the strap, I decided to test it. I simply placed the hinged clasp between my thumb and index finger and squeezed. Almost immediately, I felt it begin to flex. Just a bit more pressure and it broke like a $2 suitcase. It's just cheap pot metal. I'm glad I read the reviews before trusting it to hold an expensive lens. The strap is just 1 webbing. There is no shoulder pad. Toss it away and buy a real strap for a few dollars. What is the point in having a nice case to protect a high dollar lens and forcing it to do its job when the cheap strap fails?

Perfect lens case

I bought this case for my Nikon 200-500 Lens because none of my camera cases would hold it. This is a great add-on!

Great Case but...

This fits my Nikon 200-500 great and will protect it well. However the metal loop that connects the strap to the case broke completely off on the second use.

Nice case

Very happy with this case seems well made. Plenty of padding to protect the lens and stiff enough to resist banging around. It fits my Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR Lens very well.

Not my best purchase

The case is ok at best. The shell is not very durable but the padding is adequate. the top does not zip open all of the way (by design not malfunction) and forces you to hold it open with one hand while pulling out the lens with the other hand. Cumbersome. The shoulder strap broke with the second use.

Unfortunately no, the Ruggard case is a little too small for the Sony 200-600mm lens. However, the Sony lens already comes with it's own case so you would not need to buy one separately.

Is it good for the Sigma 105 1.4 (for Sony) with the tripod foot on?

Yes the lens and foot would fit in Ruggard Lens Case 12x5". There is enough play in the case to stretch a little for a tight fit with the foot attached to the lens.

It will fit the RF 600mm f/11 IS STM with a bit of room to spare. The 10.5 x 4.5" case (BH #RULCY110X4) will offer a tighter fit.

question

Will the 12.5x 5.0 inches case fit the new Tamron 150-600 mm G2? I have read that it fits nicely the A011 model but I am not sure if it will fit the A022 model.
Asked by: Anonymous
Is this new Tamron the same dimensions as the old? My 150-600mm fits loose in the case and has about two inches to spare at the zipper end.

question

Will this case fit a Sigma 150-6--mm Contemporary DG OS HSM lens?
Asked by: Sally Koopman A.
The case I used to carry a TAMRON 150 - 600 G2 lens. With the lens hood reversed and the mounting foot still installed the lens fits the case very nicely. It is snug enough to prevent the lens from moving around inside the case. I m not familiar with the Sigma lens.
