    Sony RMSPR1 reviews

RM-SPR1 Remote Commander for Alpha a5100 Mirrorless Digital Camera is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiny but useful Far smaller than I thought it would be. The button assembly is just over 1.5 x 3/4. It works ok, but from the catalog photo, you might imagine this device were twice the size it really is. The cord is sufficiently long to allow stepping away from the camera yet still half-press or full-press the shutter release. I bought it to isolate camera shake when the camera is on a tripod and shooting slow shutter speeds. For that it works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4.5 w/ 1 caveat I use this with my A7R3 with one caveat. It does not have the ability to lock off the shutter. However, this is easily remedied with a standard wooden clothes hanger. For landscape work and long exposures with filters that's all you need to keep the shutter open in bulb mode. It's very small, very light, and very tough. I tried 3 other shutter releases and intervalometers but they were too bulking or had other features I didn't need. I kept coming back to this - with the clothes hanger addition!. You're welcome : )

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trips the Shutter It does what I need it to do - trigger the shutter on my Sony RX100 V. There are several remotes or Commanders out there that will do more depending on your needs. B&H lists a Revo on its accessories page. A visit to the Sony site will list compatible Sony remotes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small and Effective It is small, works perfectly, and has the storage device for getting any extra cord neatly out of the way. I would recommend as a basic remote shutter release.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accessory Very convenient when using a tripod to avoid any camera movement when pressing the shutter, I used it with a tripod for some night shots - worked great.
