I ordered several on line and this one recommended by the B and H per on my call to them was perfect. Works well for my digital copying and not expensive.

This device is so simple, yet highly effective and dependable in minimizing camera shake. No batteries to fail, simply plug it in to the port of your tripod mounted Sony camera . The button is quiet , yet has a definite quality feel of operation. Press as fast and often as you like. For me, this is better than using a timer delay that beeps. Well made and worth the price. I’ll buy a second one just to make sure I always have one handy.

The Sony RM-SPR1 Remote Commander is not compatible with the Sony A7CII. As an alternative, you can use the Sony RMT-P1BT Wireless Remote Commander BH#SORMTP1BT.

Unfortunately, the Sony RM-SPR1 Remote Commander is not compatible with the Sony A6700. That camera does not have a USB micro port. Only option for a remote is one that is bluetooth like this one. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1463141-REG

While I could not find any DCRCX300 camera in Sony's lineup, if you were instead referring to the Sony HDR-CX330 Full HD Handycam Camcorder, unfortunately, Sony does not indicate the Sony RM-SPR1 Remote Commander as being compatible with the HDR-CX330 Camcorder.

Will it start/stop recording video in the movie mode?

If the camera has a "Red Button" to start and stop video, the Sony RM-SPR1 Remote Commander, will not work to start stop video, The SPR1 will only start and stop video on a camera that controls the video using the normal shutter button.
