B&H gives this item for free with the purchase of an Apogee Jam 96k. I had no plan on buying one of these as I felt that there was no need for one. Boy was I wrong. I mount the Apogee jam to my rig using an impact atom clamp, also purchased from B&H. The clamp has a small amount of rubber on the claws, but the protective cover adds more grip to keep the Jam secure and also adds protection to the Jam while it is exposed and in use. If I had to do it all over again I would buy one of these, but because B&H is the best place to make all of my purchases, I got one for free. Thanks B&H!!!!
