The Belkin NetCam HD+ monitoring camera allows you to view and record whatever's going on in your home or office right from your mobile device. Setup is very simple: just plug the camera into your wall outlet, wirelessly connect it to your internet service by Wi-Fi, and download the free NetCam App. NetCam HD+ captures video in up to 720p HD resolution in a wide-angle so you can get a large section of the room in the shot. It also captures sound via a built-in microphone. Everything captured can be recorded to your mobile device via the NetCam App.

The NetCam HD+ features a glass lens, which is the most refractive of all lens materials and provides a more vibrant image. The lens has four IR LEDs around it that enable it with night vision capability and allow it to capture clear images in total darkness. The night vision range is approximately 26 ft and images get captured in black-and-white. Night vision is useful if you want to check up on a child sleeping in another room or check up on dark rooms in general.

The camera also features a motion sensor and can be set up to send alerts to your mobile device whenever activity is detected in the room. The built-in microphone on the camera also allows communication with people in the room via a push-to-talk button. You can hear them when they press the push-to-talk button and they can hear you when you speak into your mobile device.

Via the NetCam App you can also choose to take snapshots from the captured video and save them as photo files. The NetCam App is compatible with Apple and Android mobile devices. The NetCam HD+ is also compatible with Belkin's large collection of WeMo products, sold separately. Used together, NetCam HD+ and WeMo can provide features such as triggers that turn on the lights when someone enters the room.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the trouble. I've had this for a while. It's remote in our condo in another state and is constantly going offline stating "Unavailable". Whenever anyone goes to the condo I ask them to power cycle the camera and it's returns for a day or a week before becoming unavailable again. I have other remote devices, switches and thermostats which work flawlessly. I've been shopping for a replacement and decided to check out this site and saw that others are having the same issues. I thought others could benefit from this review.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Have had this camera for a couple of years now and it's performance has deteriorated over the past year or so. Most of the problems are with connectivity or lack thereof. Camera won't stay connected to my WiFi, even sitting right next to it during troubleshooting. When it is connected, takes forever before the image appears. Very disappointed as we had come to depend on this camera to keep an eye on our dogs. Now having to shop for a more reliable replacement.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked for only one week.... We bought this camera last year when we were expecting and only started using it last week with our 5 month old. Setup was smooth and it worked fine for about 5 days, but then it kept showing that the camera was unavailable due to a lack of connection to the wifi. I've reset and moved the camera around so that the wifi connection could not be an issue but it's still showing it's unavailable, even in setup mode.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of money have 2 of these cameras for about 1.5-2 years now, as of 9 months ago they became worthless, only been able to use them about 10% of the time now all i get is the spinning circle and i might get some sound but that is about it

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says, but.............. I purchased my camera about 3 years ago. Well worth the price. Does a great job 90% of the time. Good, clear picture. However, my only frustration is that usually after about 2 days, the picture turns VERY grainy. The picture looks like a picture with lots of pixels. This is my only complaint but it is very frustrating. My internet is provided by Comcast and is very good. My only solution is unplugging for about 30 seconds and then rebooting. That clears up the picture, but once again after a period of time it goes back to the multi pixel look. Any suggestions?

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I've had the device for about 2 years now. It use to be great. But after some updates, I'm ready to get rid of it. The video would hardly ever load unless I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Then I might get 2 uses (if I was lucky). Thankfully I hadn't done an update on my tablet and was able to use that for a while before it updated itself without permission. When it started somewhat working again, I couldn't get the audio to come thru. If the video did load, it would time out and I was getting an error message that the video stream was interrupted. I discovered that the only way I can get the video to work is to shut off the audio in the settings. Very disappointed since I use this as a baby monitor and had to buy a separate monitor to be able to hear what is going on.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product do not purchase! This camera is awful is simply awful! Very glitchy, if we can view video at all the quality is never great. There is a huge delay in video and audio. There is no native iPad app, forcing you to use the iPhone app on iPad which also adds to poor video quality. You have zero control of the video stream and must use either the app or Belkin's website. The website doesn't give you access to any of the audio features, in fact there is no audio at all, No talk back nothing!!!. Wouldn't buy this camera again, and cannot recommend it
