I use this adapter plate on my Nikon Z9's for professional video production.... These plates are the best designed and most effective way to mount a camera to VCT m-14 plate. Zero shift when mounted & flawless design.

Can the V-lock portion be removed from the plate with the stoppers? I just need the V-lock section only.

Will this work, especially with those stoppers, on a typical handheld camcorder like the Panasonic AG-UX180?

SHAPE Delta Adapter is an excellent product (it stops firmly). However, it is not supported by two points (like the PROTECH Tripod Adapter Plate). I think it's safer to use SHAPE Delta Adapter for lightweight things such as DSLRs, or for things that can only be supported by one point. Therefore, I do not recommend attaching it to a camcorder, not just the AG-UX180.
