Toploader Pro 70 AW II Holster Bag (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect solution for DSLR leave your backpack at home! I was looking for a solution to protect my DSLR (D600) without having to lug all of my gear in my backpack. I understand that when the outing or shoot requires ALL of your gear, then the backpack is a must. However, when you just want to safely and comfortably bring your DSLR and few items like SD cards, cleaning cloth and room for your cellphone keys etc., this is your bag! I highly recommend this LowePro 70 AW II it gives fast, easy access to my Nikon D600 with battery grip and the 28mm-300mm FX lens with lens hood reversed. Lots of storage pockets and even a rain cover. I took this to the grounds for sculpture for the day with family as its maiden voyage and it worked far better than I had even hoped for. Lightweight, comfortable and roomy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thick padding, well designed I purchased this bag to travel with a D750 (no grip), 85/1.4G and a 50/1.8G, both without hoods. The bag came with a velcro divider pad so I can pack the second lens at the bottom, though it's a little awkward to have to peel off the velcro each time I want to switch lenses. It seems to be designed for just a single larger lens, but actually there's a hollow space below the padding where the camera's grip rests. Those are the only cons. I am terrified about having my camera stolen in crowded places like Hong Kong or NYC. The zipper on this Lowepro has some curves (like a Formula 1 course) - which in my mind will make thieves take longer to unzip - plus a clasp for additional security. As other reviewers mentioned, it feels durable and sturdy. The shoulder strap has a comfortable, thick pad. Recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite satisfactory I wanted a bag for a camera with a nine-inch long lens, that could be worn with one strap on the sshoulder and one around the waist. This bag nominally satisfied these requirements, but: 1. it is too baulky, and though the width and length are right, it is far too deep. 2. it only has one pair of lugs to attach the straps to, creating a tangle which is difficult to get in and out of. It would have been far better if there were two pairs of lugs, and the around-the-waist strap came in two parts that can be easily unclipped. I am sure that for the right person this would be a wonderful bag, but for me it is clumsy and unsatisfactory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Well-made and amply padded. This design allows you to remove the camera quickly and safely because the lens faces down, leaving the camera strap on top. The bag is quite roomy. I use it with a Nikon D800 and Nikon 24-70 lens, and it's not a tight fit. Plenty of pocket space for spare battery, a filter or two, and additional SD cards. Ingenious strap system for multiple carry positions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't miss the shots! This bag is about as good as you can get from off the shelf. I just used the Toploader in the Colorado backcountry on a ski trip in the mountains. Having such easy access made getting the shot easy. Bring extra memory cards because you will take more images! If some action was happening I didn't need to drop my backpack and dig for a camera, it was easy to access mounted on my chest. Skiing steep mountains was a bit awkward but was certainly do able with a minor amount of sloshing and swinging. After fine tuning the straps and moving some clips around it fit much better, take the time to set it up. I ended up crossing the straps on my back but moved the lower two clips up to share the D ring with the clips on the tops straps. This made the bag hang better and stay closer to my body. Removal of the bag over the head was still possible even with a climbing helmet on. I would place the Toploader on, followed by my backpack which would help hold everything in place. I was originally looking for this bag to shoot ice climbing. I have hopes but have not been able to test it yet. The build quality is amazing. I think the bag favors quality and durability over weight savings and simplicity. I think my design ethos would be to save a bit of more weight and shed some frills, but I think this bag is designed as it should be for mass appeal. The bag should last for a long time (even with the heavy abuse I have already subjected it to).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good replacement bag I bought the Toploader Pro 70AW II to replace a five year old Lowepro TLZ 2 that had a worn out top zipper. The build on this bag is solid and the padding is good. It has plenty of space for my Canon 60D with battery grip and 18-200 lens with lens hood. The side strap holds my flash. I would give it five stars if the shoulder strap and hand strap were more like the TLZ. The 70AW shoulder strap is oriented for across the chest. The bag hangs awkwardly when the strap is over one shoulder. The hand strap is flimsy and not comfortable to hold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bag I purchased this bag to carry a Nikon D750 with battery grip, along with an attached 24-70mm lens with inverted lens hood. The bag is well made and fits my needs. This is my first Toploader bag, and a few design features are perhaps worth noting for those contemplating buying this item: (1) This bag fits the above camera/lens combination well, but will not fit anything larger than what I stated. In retrospect, it would have been probably a bit more practical for me to get the larger version (Toploader Pro 75) of this bag to accommodate larger lenses or the 24-70 with its lens hood. (2) In distinction from other bags that I own, the position of the D-rings that hold the shoulder strap is such that the bag will not be stable if one puts it on the shoulder on the same side as the bag - one has to use the opposite shoulder for this, running the strap across the chest. In the latter position, the fit of the bag and its strap is very comfortable. (3) Similarly different from my other bags, the top cover of this one opens to the front, rather than away from the body. This is a design choice I don't particularly like. Together with the very stiff clasp that closes the top, this leads me to fumble a bit each time opening the top. (4) There is plenty of space for other items (such as filters, a cell phone, SD cards, or a spare battery). This and the thick cushioning of the whole bag are excellent features of this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great Product From LowePro Cleverly designed and very nicely made. This Holster easily accommodates my Nikon D500 with an 18-200 lens even with the lens hood attached for use. It will also accommodate my D500 Battery Grip if I choose to attach it. There's a lot of set up flexibility and a considerable amount of space for batteries, memory cards, filters, cell phones, etc. However you set up this holster, either cross shoulder or cross chest, its very comfortable to use. Camera access is nearly effortless. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
