Transcend 32GB CompactFlash Reviews

A good backup

The SD card can now be found almost anywhere and used in lots of current electronics. What to do if your equipment is older and needs a CF card? Of course you can find used cards on ebay. Who knows if they will work? This is an inexpensive solution. There are CF cards that are faster and have larger capacities than this one. Considering the camera that this card is used in, 32 GB is large enough. The second card slot in the camera requires an XD card. Do they even make those anymore? With this card and camera combination I can shoot a little over two thousand photos. Just right for shooting over a weekend.

Excellent Card at a Good Price!

This is my second Transcend 64GB CompactFlash card, and I love it. My other was 400x and worked like a dream... never failed once. The new card is 800x, and even less expensive than the first. It works like a champ with no problems reading or writing large video files. Ive bought both these cards from B&H, though I did price check on Whamazon (not the real name) and their best price was B&Hs! Coupled with B&Hs super fast order processing and shipping and I had the card in use with 2 days. The Transcend card meets or exceeds all requirements for super fast storage with no data loss. B&H and Transcend - a winning combination!

This is what I wanted for my Nikon D800 and it delivers as promised. At 800x, it is super fast for a great shooting experience. It will remain inside my camera for its lifetime and I can skip the hassle of changing cards all the time. Love it. Hope to shoot some great videos and stills. This card has the capacity and I recommend it strongly.

Court Ordered Reliability

In my work as a Legal Video Specialist, I serve as an officer of the court when shooting depositions. The witnesses give sworn testimony that must be precisely preserved for the judge and jury in a court case. There is no time for a take two. For more than 10 years I have relied on Transcend's 800x 64GB CompactFlash card as my primary recording medium. I have always found the Transcend CompactFlash cards to be less expensive, more reliable, and consistently a superior recording medium than other brands. Not long ago, I tried another brand and it bit me... hard. Instead of simply transferring the data files to my computer for processing, I had to fall back to my HDV tape backup, a process that meant going over two days of deposition several times... real time. I've now got a couple more Transcend cards as backups and expect few problems from here on. I am really glad B&H introduced me to Transcend and their great memory products!

question

If I order 20 of the 800x CompactFlash Memory Card, what would be the weight?
Asked by: Amber P.
While the weight of the Transcend 32GB 800x CompactFlash Memory Card UDMA is not listed, the packaging weight is listed as 0.1 lbs (1.6 oz). If you ordered 20 cards, then I would estimate the weight should be approximately 2 lbs (32 oz).

It is for a SQ11 Mini DV Camera. Are they the same as T Flash Cards?
Asked by: Sonya
No, the SQ11 uses a MicroUSB card which is less than the size of man's "pinkie" fingernail. The CompactFlash is a much larger card. Much larger as in it's about the size of a pack of matches, not just that it'll handle 64 GB instead of 32.

I have a micro SD card and it is way to small as well as too thin, the GB does not matter it is the card itself that is the problem. Please can you help?
Asked by: Sonya
A lots of cameras use compact flash card (CF) some use SD cards and other type as well like CFexpress ore XQD cards . Micro SD is mostly used on smartphones or other devices that are build small and compact , like GoPro HERO . If your camera takes CF cards do not adapt Micro SD as it will not work well
