The Ambient Recording HHA-SSH is a handheld microphone adapter designed to allow mounting of select Neumann and Sennheiser microphone heads onto compatible Sony, Shure, and Lectrosonics wireless handheld transmitters, enabling you to match your favorite mic capsule with your preferred wireless system for enhanced sonic performance. The HHA-SSH works with Neumann (KK 204 and KK 205) and Sennheiser 800/900 Series (MMK 965, MMK 965-1, MMD 835 BK, MMD 845, MMD 935, MMD 945, and MME 865) heads, and offers compatibility with Sony (DWZ-M and DWZ-02), Shure (UR2, PG2, PGX2, SLX2, ULX2), and Lectrosonics HH handheld transmitters. The Ambient Recording HHA-SSH is a handheld microphone adapter designed to allow mounting of select Neumann and Sennheiser microphone heads onto compatible Sony, Shure, and Lectrosonics wireless handheld transmitters, enabling you to match your favorite mic capsule with your preferred wireless system for enhanced sonic performance. The HHA-SSH works with Neumann (KK 204 and KK 205) and Sennheiser 800/900 Series (MMK 965, MMK 965-1, MMD 835 BK, MMD 845, MMD 935, MMD 945, and MME 865) heads, and offers compatibility with Sony (DWZ-M and DWZ-02), Shure (UR2, PG2, PGX2, SLX2, ULX2), and Lectrosonics HH handheld transmitters. It features durable anodized aluminum construction and gold-plated contacts.

I have been using this adapter for various Sennheiser capsules (MMD 835, MMD 935, MMD 945, and MME 865) with the Shure SLXD2 and Shure PGXD2 handheld transmitters. They have all worked perfectly.

Will this work for mounting a Sennheiser 865 ...

Will this work for mounting a Sennheiser 865 Capsule on a Shure UR2 transmitter? Or no because the Sennheiser is a condenser?

Yes, the Ambient Recording HHA-SSH handheld microphone adapter is compatible with the Shure SLX2 Digital handheld transmitter. However, there are important limitations depending on the microphone capsule you plan to use: Compatible Capsules with SLX2: Sennheiser MMD835, MMD845, MMD935, MMD945 Sennheiser MM435, MM445 Sennheiser MME865 Sennheiser MD9235 Sennheiser MMD42-1. Not Compatible with SLX2: Neumann KK204 / KK205 Sennheiser MMK965 Sennheiser ME9002 / ME9004 / ME9005 These capsules draw more current than the SLX2 can supply, so they won’t function properly.
