Ambient Recording AMMK Overview

The MK30 Microphone Cable with XLR 98.4' (30 m) by Ambient Recording is a professional-quality interconnect cable. It can be used to connect various devices in audio applications such as mixers, microphones, speakers and much more. It features a thin polyurethane coating and allows the cable to be flexible even in low temperatures. It is designed to carry less physical noise. The braided shield provides protection from EM and HF interference.

This thing is thin!

Clearly, this is more suited for mic applications whereby your walking around while tethered. Still, the quality is superb and I don't hear any ground loop noise through the cable at all. The options available include heavily shielded cables but I believe that 'Ambient Recording' has been able to achieve something special here.

Very Thin - German Made Mic Cable

This is a very well-made and extremely thin cable. Despite the lack of super-shielding, it actually reduced the line noise considerably from the stock cables I was using for my Electro-Voice RE20. Presumably, a cable like this would be used in a studio that's free of foot traffic, and in my case, I simply use it at my desk and it seems to be perfect.
