Rosco Fluorescent Paint Overview

One of the most eye-catching colorants you're likely to find, Rosco's orange Fluorescent Paint glows vividly under ultraviolet light, creating a brilliant visual effect for use in design, artwork, stage productions, and other applications. When combined with other Rosco Scenic Paints, it makes those hues more vibrant.

This water-based, vinyl acrylic paint with matte finish is quick-drying, and can be applied to almost all surfaces once they've been properly cleaned and treated with a primer, such as Rosco's Tough Prime. Using a white basecoat will yield the most dramatic color effects. You can apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spray gun. Please keep in mind that it's best to keep the paint out of direct sunlight whenever possible, as prolonged exposure to UV light will cause a degradation in the pigment.

question

Does it go on white at first?
Asked by: Anonymous
Invisible Blue is a milky white paint that fluoresces to a pale blue under blacklight. When painted over light colored surfaces, Invisible Blue is difficult to detect. However, it can be seen when painted over dark or black colors.

question

Can I paint on bedroom wall?
Asked by: Anonymous
You can. You will need multiple gallons. I painted a vanity with this paint color and was only able to get two coats. It could have used four in order to achieve the look I was going for. The fluorescent pink paint is very bright, but without the right amount of coats the the white base coat shows through. My suggestion is to paint some accents in the room you are thinking, and not an entire wall.
