Benro Aero2 overview

  • 1Description

The Aero 2 Video Travel Angel Tripod Kit from Benro combines a removable flat base video head and 3-stage aluminum tripod legs. The system has a maximum height of 62.4" with the center column extended and features a reverse folding leg design for a storage length of only 18.3". This makes the tripod ideal for travel as it is compact enough to fit in many backpacks, rolling cases, and gear bags. Supporting loads up to 5.5 pounds, the video head offers separate pan and tilt controls for smooth and precise camera movements. For increased versatility, one of the tripod legs is removable and can be combined with the center column to turn the system into a monopod when needed. A padded carry case and strap come included.

Adjustable Leg Angles
For increased versatility, the tripod legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting in cramped quarters, on irregular surfaces, or at ground level.
Leveling Platform
An integrated leveling platform on the vertical center column allows for quick leveling of the video head.
Center Column Hook
A hook located on the bottom of the center column lets you hang additional weight from the tripod's center of gravity for increased stability.
Flip Lock Legs with Anti-Rotation Leg System
Tripod height can easily be set by flipping the quick lock leg levers which, when combined with anti-rotation legs, enable a quick and easy setup.
Closed-Cell Foam Grip
A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your tripod.
Converts to Monopod
The tripod easily converts to a monopod by combining the center column with the removable tripod leg.
Spiked or Rubber Feet
The tripod legs are equipped with interchangeable screw-in rubber and stainless-steel spiked feet.

    Benro Aero2 reviews

Aero 2 Video Travel Angel Tripod Kit is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not A Video Tripod I am a professional videographer who sometimes does travel videos. I was hoping to buy a small, light tripod with a good smooth head for pans and tilts. I was very disappointed with this tripod. It is small, light and strong, but the head is useless for video unless you don't plan to tilt or pan. The head has no cushioning at all. I plan to return the unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from $ worth of mediocrity This tripod will be great for grab n go shoots. Super light weight and versitle (can switch to mono pod). It is probably the bare minimum in a video tripod. It allows you to pan but it takes a yoga-like control of your own body to make the pan smooth from start to finish. Definitely good but not great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Great!! pretty amazing tripod!! Feels good in the hand, compacts into a really good and transportable size, and has a good look. The only complaint is that it is a little hard to get it COMPLETELY level so that when you do a horizontal sweep, it's totally straight, but I'm sure with practice that can be fixed

Rated 2 out of 5 by from loose ball head Video. Compact and solid tripod. The ball head was very loose and could not adjust & difficult to pan smoothly. Unfortunately I returned this item.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very portable, but not the greatest head Pros: Extremely light, packs small, built-in ball leveler for the head. Cons: Tilt action is sticky. Pans are fairly smooth on the one I've got, but anytime I start a tilt, there's a noticeable jerk to get it to unstick from the resting position. Additionally, the locks on this are not very tight. While it will hold a camera in a static position, if you've got something on there that is not well balance (or you pick up and move the tripod with camera attached) it will almost certainly swing up or down on you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A well designed, compact video tripod at a reasonable price This is a well-designed tripod that is compact, solid and easy to transport. It's very quick to set up. Panning is smooth and the centre column can be removed and attached to one of the legs to form a monopod. No tools are required to do this. The top plate of the centre column can pivot up to 15 degrees so the camera can be easily levelled on uneven terrains. I'm very happy with this tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Travel but trade-offs Using for video with Canon 6D, 25-110mm lens and Rode Video Mic. 5 stars because it does what it says it does. But as it is a small and light tripod you need to be careful about wind impact and your own contact with the camera. Not thrilled with the fluidity of the head but didn't expect a pro level for this. But as I said does whit it says it will do. And very good value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod! Premium quality for affordable price! I've had it for 2 weeks now and I simply love it. It's my first more expensive tripod and I got to say it's worth every penny! It's very stable and solid, it feels premium and easy to operate and what really makes it very attractive for that price is not only the quality built but also that it can transform into monopod. It's perfect for aspiring filmmakers with a dsrl in their bag.
