Leveling Platform
An integrated leveling platform on the vertical center column allows for quick leveling of the video head.
Center Column Hook
A hook located on the bottom of the center column lets you hang additional weight from the tripod's center of gravity for increased stability.
Flip Lock Legs with Anti-Rotation Leg System
Tripod height can easily be set by flipping the quick lock leg levers which, when combined with anti-rotation legs, enable a quick and easy setup.
Closed-Cell Foam Grip
A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your tripod.
Converts to Monopod
The tripod easily converts to a monopod by combining the center column with the removable tripod leg.

Benro S2 Tripod System Reviews

Tilt axis requires constant adjustment

The pan axis is smooth, but the tilt axis sticks at the beginning of every motion. There is a small hex key spot after removing the locking thumb nut on the tilt axis. No hex key is supplied to adjust this axis - I used one of my own. I have to adjust the tilt axis every time I use the tripod.

I was concerned with swivel motion being to stiff, but one I put my spotting scope on the stand everything worked great. The unit does flex with my scope and is compact enough to fit inside me backpack for traveling.

Love this tripod! It is lightweight, pan and tilt are fairly smooth, and it has held up to a lot of run & gun usage. Too bad it was discontinued.

My travel tripod

I use this for on the go shooting, it's flexible and sturdy. It can get into some low angles my other tripod can't. I love how light and easy it is to use on the go. My only issue is the quick release plate has a nob on the side to tighten the mount once the camera is in place, only the nob has a extension on it that hits the bottom of the camera and won't tighten up as much as I would like it to. I'm sure there is a work around, like switching the nob, but I haven't tried to fix the issue yet.

what weight of sand bag can be attached to the tripod?
Asked by: Skye
There is no specific limit for what size weight bag can be used. However this tripod has a head which only supports 5.5 pounds. Just to keep things even you may want to stay around that weight with a 5 pound bag like the Impact Shot Bag, BH #IMSHB5. https://bhpho.to/3cu2pNT

question

What is the shortest height this can be set to? That is, do the legs fold out horizontally? I am thinking about shooting from a very low position but still being able to use this to steady the camera.
Asked by: Karl
The Benro C1573FS2 S2 minimum height is16.14 in (41 cm). This is obtained by folding out the legs almost flat.
