If you want the darkest deepest black- then this is your paint. Word of warning- it is impossible to clean- just have to paint again. B&H is a great company. Great selection. Great service. Every time. Can't wait to find new projects so that I can go shopping again!! :)

Purchased this for a garage photo studio after working with Rosco TV White paint at work. Happy with the color but you need to really stir the paint quite a bit before using it. Probably should take it in somewhere to get the van shook.

How would this work for the ceiling of a home theater? I assume it is very flat, not gloss.

This works excellent for your application. I painted about 10 feet of my ceiling and walls of my home theater around the projection screen. Amazing the difference between the Home Depot Flat Black and this product. It actually seems to absorb the light.

No, the Rosco TV Paint is not designed for use with blackening the edge of optical lenses, and cannot be removed by acetone.

Acetone pretty much dissolves most paints. We do not carry one that is resistant to Acetone
