ikan Elements Plus Reviews

Looks good but there are some issues

I have a full blown tilta rig which is made well but weights a ton. I bought this with a pair of 10 carbon fiber rods in hopes of lighting up a grab and go rig. Made well but really heavy. The mount screw to camera is blind and very hard to thread. Using the tilta matte box, the tolerances where very bad and the lens would not fit the opening, even though there where ample adjustments.

Super Solid!

I replaced another quick release baseplate with this one. This is a great piece of equipment that holds everything together real solid!

question

If I use this with a Canon T5i DSLR and the iKan ring light, will it place the camera at the right height to be in the centre of the ring light?
Asked by: Sam T.
Disagree. My camera s D610 and 810. I use the ring light with a Tilta matte box and the alignment is terrible. The Tilta rig assembly centers the lens without problem. Another issue is that the matte box at it's lowest setting lacks enough adjustment to center lens. I modified the matte adjustments to make it work.

question

Does this block the battery compartment?
Asked by: Wei Ming
I use a Panasonic GH3 and I have to loosen the screw and remove it to access the battery compartment.
