    Brother MFC-L2700DW reviews

MFC-L2700DW All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 1594.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not user friendly and horrible service Wifi setting is not intuitive and does not function according to the instruction. Then, when you speak to tech support (which takes ages to answer), they they simply ask you to reset everything and, if it doesn't work, they ask to reset it again and again. Basically they have been set up to fail by whoever designed the system. The worse is that that I wasted a lot of time on this. So do yourself a favor, stay away from this. Finally, you would think that the support people would care about customers walking away from Brother. Well, they don't, which is offensive, especially when it is your first Brother product. So, brothers-stay away from this brother.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok not great Bought this at first for a project where we needed a lot of copies. The machine will only do a few then needs to "stop and rest" before continuing on. Made the project take forever. Also needed to print envelopes. These are fed through the manual slot - and can only handle one at a time. About 1/5 would jam. For scanning it often has trouble finding the network but works better if you use the scanner program on your computer rather than the scan button on the printer. All in all its not an expensive machine which is nice but it has some features that are not so great to keep in mind if you plan to use them - like making more than 10 copies or printing envelopes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OhBrother My HP printer broke down and I thought I'd try this Brother laser printer. The specs were comparable, and the price was great. Set-up was okay, but took a bit of time. After having used it for about 6 weeks, let me just say that I still miss my HP! The print quality is alright, but not as good as the old HP. It is a hassle to use the manual feed and to print checks. Basically, I expected to "get use to" the differences on this printer, but I haven't. I will keep this Brother printer, but will not purchase another. I am considering relocating this printer to my office at home, which is much less frequently used; perhaps it will be adequately for use there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but with problems Generally like the machine but there are some problems. 1. Setting up the WiFi is a pain. I read this other reviews but figured I could do it because of my IT experience. After trying everything in the Setup docs without success, I called tech support and during the 10 minutes I was on hold, I browsed the Brother website and found another option, which worked. Now the printer is on the network and my Laptop can see it but it will not print to it When I have a lot of time for 'hold' I will try tech support again. 2. The display is so faint that is it can only be read in very bright light. 3. Manual feed is one sheet at a time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Printer It was actually cheaper to buy this full featured printer than another Brother printer with less. Go figure. Loving the duplexing which I have never had before and the cheap printing without having to constantly buy more ink. The print quality is very crisp for text, not all that great for pictures but didn't buy it for that. Great paper handling with paper kept clean in a drawer and not popping out all over the floor after printing. Feed through port for labels works fine. Love the scanner though it doesn't seem to do auto-feed for scanning, only copying, which is weird and wasteful. I'm very happy with my choice though and love using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value... This multi function printer is just perfect for what I needed to work from home. It was a great price and has all of the features I need. The scanning with the sheet feeder is a common used feature for the legal field as we are constantly scanning documents from clients. This feature works flawlessly. Of course, printing works great. Only drawback would be output tray capacity if copying or printing a large number of pages but that is to be expected for such a compact design and the function outweighs this only slight drawback. So far, I have used it daily for moderate use and it is working without problem or hesitation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good fax and printer The fax work well, but slow. It require improvement. It can't recognize pdf or office files when attaching the files from the computer. I couldn't attach a different files from multiple folders to a single fax number without first putting all the files in a same folder. It require a usb wire when sitting up the wifi. It does have brightness and contrast adjustability before scanning, but I like to be able to adjust the contrast, brightness, and vividness after scanning, so I can see the quality of the scan. I had a installation problem. I accidently installed both wifi and usb line connection and I couldn't get the wifi to work. I finally figured it out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible interface, and instructions It works, somewhat. It prints. That's about all it can be said for it. I mean, really, a 1/2" x 2" lcd screen, despite adjusting it's brightness, contrast, etc., you still cannot read it, unless you're an inch away? It took 15 minutes following just one feature -an ID card that prints on both sides. Followed it exactly. Doesn't work. wanted to enlarge a document to be scanned. Supposedly, you should be able to. Nope, either machine hasn't that feature, or, no idea if it does, how. Prints nicely though. Duplex printing is good. Worst aspect is tediously going through numerous hoops of instructions. Takes so long. There's more, but that's all I have to say without losing my calm demeanor. Oh forgot. It's noisy
