    Brother HL-L2300D reviews

HL-L2300D Monochrome Laser Printer is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice laser printer for the money. It prints nice clean copies with no fuzzy edges... it's even pretty good with grayscale images if I run them thru XnView first and print from there. I was surprised at the B/W quality for simple images. There was some disappointment that it came with a 'starter laser cartridge' with less than half the number of prints that the regular cartridges. Oh well, I know there are quality aftermarket cartridges out there, so I'll soon be getting one! I think the startup time to print time is about eight seconds which is fine for me. Not wifi on this unit, so be aware of that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install I was looking for a simple black and white printer and decided to go with a laser printer. I occasionally need to print plain documents and I'm not ready to invest in a nice color printer yet. This printer was inexpensive and prints fast and was very easy to install..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Printer So far I'm happy with this printer. It was easy to set up and has the rather small footprint that I like. I was pleased to see that there's an option for lower ink but I was disappointed that the print was too faint with that option. Otherwise, I would have given this 5 stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fuser Unit failed in 20 months VERY LIGHT USAGE Fuser unit failed after very light usage, think print checking account statement every month and misc document prints - just the sort of usage this printer would seem appropriate. Discussed with customer service and bottom line they referred me to repair shop that I would have to pay - not worth repairing, not worth buying, this printer (mine at least) not durable at all and they seem to say 'tough luck'

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4-Shipping Labels I remember my 1st Shipping label. The mailman told me to put tape over it. After 2-yrs I finally purchased this Laser Printer and I couldn't be happier. I still use regular paper to print labels. I've had the Brother HL-L2300D for 6-months. I recently purchased some Toner because I thought I'd be running out soon but I'm still using the Toner it came with. If I had been using my ink printer I'd be on my 3rd black ink cartridge at about $36 dollars. I can't even imagine how long the Standard Yield Toner Cartridge (TN630) will last. I do more than just shipping labels, invoices, & packing slips. There's a quick start guide inside the box & the only confusing thing for me was the paper guides. I had 2 & 3 sheets of paper coming out but there's a place online that showed me how to set the guides. A shipping label takes 1/2 a page so what I do is open the door in front where the word brother is. I then slip the blank part of the paper into it and the printer grabs about a 1/4 and then hold it until I click on print again. So I can get 2-shipping labels on the same side of the page. This saves paper. When I'm printing a packing slip that takes 2-pages I just click on the option for 2-sided printing and the page comes out and then gets sucked back in and out again with both sides used. It has saved me money for sure. I kick myself for not getting one sooner.
