KW-HUB-9U3 Multi-Port USB 3.0 Hub with IQ Charging Ports (Black) is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from works, but... Works as expected, but the red power ports do NOT function as USB data ports (my reading of the mfr documentation beforehand suggested that they did), and the external power adapter is huge. The hub's enclosure is completely plastic, and no product photos show the hub with its power adapter. The power supply brick is larger than the hub itself (shorter, but wider and thicker). The hub claims to be able to provide 7 x 0.9 A, plus 2 x 2.4 A at 5V. I.e. 11.1 A at 5 V = 55.5 W. The power adapter is rated 12 V at 5 A = 60 W. I haven't load tested either of them. If both can really provide those power levels, the hub must contain a remarkably efficient DC to DC converter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from does the job This thing works pretty well, though I do occasionally have to unplug and re-plug a drive to get the computer to recognize it. I also really dislike the constant glowing blue light, which is unfortunately quite common with this type of peripheral. Since it can't be switched off, I've put some black gaffer's tape over it. So minus one star for those two annoyances. It is less expensive than some other models, however, and the fact that it's AC-powered (vs. bus-powered by the computer) means that it's more likely to work with an assortment of peripherals. The last USB3 hub I had, which was bus-powered, rarely worked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disconnects drives during sleep mode After reading the other reviews, I figured this hub should be reliable. But from the start, once the laptop goes to sleep mode (even while plugged-in, which retains power to the USB ports), the drives and other devices are disconnected. It seems that the KW goes to sleep as well. This is disappointing, and I must return it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It gets awfully hot I am not sure if I wazs given a bad power supply or it is a design defect but I got rid of this hub and bought another brand. It was not just warm to the touch but hot enough to cause concern.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Piece of Junk - Stay Away Do Not Buy Poor Customer Ser Awful Piece of Junk - Stay Away Do Not Buy Poor Customer Service Stay away from this company's products, Mine stopped working within 31-35 days and B&H won't do anything as it passes their 30 days warranty. This particular hub started to interfere with my computer's inbuilt usb ports and even started to make them fail. Stay away and it heats up very fast and will affect your peripherals and mobile devices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great I just purchased a MacBook Pro and discovered it only had 2 USB ports. I needed many more than that for all the accessories i will be using. Finding a USB 3.0 hub with power was kinda difficult. This little gem has more than enough ports to handle all the stuff i am connecting to it.
