question

Does the front bumper screw into the lens filter that is installed on a lens, or does the lens filter screw into the bumper after the bumper is screwed onto the lens?
Asked by: Anonymous
The front bumper screws onto the lens like a filter. You can have filters mounted onto the lens, and as long as they have a front filter thread the bumber will connect to the filter. The bumper also has front threads to allow filters to be mounted.

Hi! I have a question for you. Might I use the lens rim protector at the same time with my lens hood? I want to purchase it, to use with my Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART

question

Which size is best for an 18-55mm lens? (AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II to be exact)
Asked by: Anonymous
The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II Lens uses 52mm filter threads. As such, the easyCover 52mm Lens Rim (Black), B&H # EAECLR52, would be the correct item for your needs.

question

Can this product be used with the lens cap?
Asked by: Timothy D.
Lens cap is no problem at all. You can still use that and protect the front when you are not shooting. But maybe you mean a lens hood? It is not compatible with a lens hood...

question

Does this cover affect the ability to quickly put filters on and off?
Asked by: Anonymous
The bumper can be mounted atop filters, and also has filter threads on its outside to further mount filters to. If you mount filters on the lens before it, and wanted to swap them, it would require you remove the bumper also. A UV protection filter would be good to have on before the bumper because that is one you'd likely be leaving on all the time. If you were going to use temporary filters you could thereby easily mount them to the outside of the bumper.
