The 3 Port PEXMSATA343 PCIe 2.0 SATA III Raid Controller Card with mSATA from StarTech offers three SATA III ports and one mSATA slot to support additional storage and optical drives for your desktop computer. This SATA controller card occupies a PCI Express x2 or higher slot in your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. When multiple storage drives are installed, this controller card can configure these drives in JBOD, RAID 0, 1, and 10 through the BIOS setting. This PCIe SATA controller card supports Port Multiplier, which allows you to connect up to 4 drives on the PM port. With this PM port, plus the two SATA ports and mSATA slot, you can connect up to 7 drives.

The card also supports HyperDuo technology that works with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8. HyperDuo technology combines an SSD and a hard drive into one single volume. It discreetly identifies and moves frequently accessed files and programs onto the SSD to offer faster performance while combining the ample storage capacity a typical hard drive provides. A low-profile/half-height installation bracket is included for small form factor systems.
